- You have 14 days after every payment — when you join and after each renewal — to change your mind. Cancel within 14 days of a payment and we refund that payment in full. Press Cancel membership on your billing page inside those 14 days and it ends your membership and refunds you automatically. You do not have to give a reason. The terms set this out in full, with a cancellation form you can use, and our membership, cancellation and refunds policy walks through it with worked examples. Once 14 days have passed since a payment you can still cancel at any time and nothing further is taken, but we do not refund the unused part of a year you have already paid for. You keep your membership and your listings until the year ends.

Frequently asked
How does verification work?
The Royal Kennel Club publishes no data feed and offers no lookup service to sites like ours, so there is nothing to automate. Instead a named member of our team consults the Royal Kennel Club’s free public Health Test Results Finder, as any member of the public may, and writes down in their own words what they saw and on what date. We keep our own note. We never keep a copy of the Royal Kennel Club’s records, and we have no access to any Royal Kennel Club database. Checks are completed as quickly as we can.
Why do you only list Breed Register stud dogs?
Every stud dog on Breed Right is on the Royal Kennel Club Breed Register. The Royal Kennel Club also runs an Activity Register, which is open to any dog including crossbreeds — those dogs cannot be listed at stud here.
Do I need any technical skills?
Not at all. Add your dog’s details and photos and your profile is ready to go — it goes live with its badge once our checks are complete.
What does the free account include?
Browsing every stud dog and litter, contacting breeders, keeping your enquiries in one inbox, and your own kennel profile page — all free, with no card details. It does not include listings: publishing a stud dog or a litter needs a membership.

The other half of the job
AdvertA Breed Right listing is the public half of breeding — being found, and being checked. The private half is everything in between: seasons and matings, the whelping night itself, every puppy’s weights and worming, and buyers who want to know how their puppy is doing.
That half is what Whelpy does. It is kennel-management software made by Whelpy Ltd, the same company that runs Breed Right — your dogs, seasons and matings, the whelping record, puppy weight charts, worming and vaccination due dates, and a private page for each puppy buyer with the contract to sign online. Whelpy Lite is free forever — no card, and not a trial. A paid plan adds the council record book (Schedule 6) and the tax-year accounts a licensed breeder needs; details and pricing are on whelpy.co.uk.
They are separate products with separate accounts. Nothing on Breed Right needs a Whelpy account, and having one never changes how a listing is checked.
